Spain - €75 million to fund DSO projects

The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce will allocate €75 million to digital switchover as part of its Plan Avanza2. Funding will be used in 18 regions and cities to help prepare viewers for analogue switch-off.

Planned activities include the extension of DTT coverage, provision of local information, and the preparation of contigency plans.

In addition, the government has allocated an additional €8.25 million to extend DTT coverage in those areas where analogue switch-off will take place in June.
