Slovenia - Norkring to operate DTT multiplex

The Norwegian broadcast network operator, Norkring, has been selected to operate the country's second DTT multiplex. The first multiplex is operated by the public service broadcaster RTV SLO.

This multiplex will provide viewers with access to 8 television programme services using the MPEG-4 AVC compression format.

Services will include TV Pika, RTS+, i-TV, Sport TV2, TV Primorka, Vas Kanal, and RTS.

By 1 September, the multiplex should have a 70% population coverage which will increase to 85% by 1 September 2010.

A Korean consortium and the Austrian broadcast network operator ORS also bid for the operation of this multiplex.
